Cellario Salon LLC
My hairstyling business was my first baby, founded in 2017. It began during beauty school in high school; I would call everyone I knew that had free blocks to come sit in my chair and let me practice the skills I had just learned. As word started to spread, I started taking clients before swim practice, in the evenings and on weekends. By the time prom came around, I had 12 girls in my room getting their hairstyles done before the dance. It was a running joke that my business was called “Marina’s Ratchet Salon” because I was bootlegging it out of my basement. In fact, my Instagram account ran with that name for years during my high school and beginning college years before I got my big girl name “Cellario Salon” and actually purchased my LLC. As I grew up, my business did too, paving a path to beautiful salons, amazing mentors, and a continued love for learning about my industry.

This was my first business card, which my teacher mom printed out for me at her school. I used watercolors to decorate them one by one before I finally invested in having my mom print them out with the paintings already on them. I would pass them out at school and give them to anyone that asked me what I did. Eventually, these business cards found themselves in goody bags that I would give to each client; with “10% off for a friend” discount on the back. This marks one of my first marketing efforts to grow my clientele.
